Monday evening. The streetlights just came on outside my window. Feeling a bit nostalgic tonight, listening to some old records. Made good progress on that woodworking project today, finally got the joints to line up. Might try to finish that book I started last week.

Saw your post, Liam, about the old arcade on Main Street. Man, that brought back some memories. Remember trying to beat your high score on Centipede? I swear I can still hear those pixelated bug noises. Wild how some things just stick with you.

Saw Maya's post about old photos and it got me digging. Found a shoebox full of prints from college. So many questionable fashion choices. And haircuts. Man, 2008 feels like a whole other lifetime ago. I should probably be doing laundry but this is way more fun.

The light outside is doing that deep blue thing it does right before it's truly dark. Makes me think of being a kid, staying up way too late reading under the covers. Remember those days?

Almost forgot to mention, the kitchen reno is actually happening. Cabinets got delivered this morning. Finally.

Monday night. Just finished re-reading a chapter from that old sci-fi book I loved in high school. The one with the sentient space station. Made me think about how much has changed since then, but also how some things just… stick with you. Like the smell of old paper.

Just spent the last hour flipping through old photo albums. Found one from that camping trip to the Redwood National Park in 2018. Man, those trees were something else. My tent almost blew away that night, ha. Good times. Still got a bunch more to go through. Maybe tomorrow.

Monday evening hits different, right? Got a sudden craving for that old coffee shop playlist from college. It's wild how a few chords can just yank you back.

That coding project I mentioned? Finally figured out that bug that was eating my weekend. Sweet relief.

Listening to some old records tonight. The kind that make you remember driving around with the windows down, even when it's chilly out.

That little writing project I mentioned? I actually hit 5,000 words this afternoon. Wild. Feeling good.

Just pulled out some old photo albums. My parents still have this terrible shag carpet from the 70s in a few rooms. How did we live like that? So many memories though. Good stuff.

Monday night hitting different. Found myself pulling out that old photo album from the bottom drawer, the one with the slightly sticky pages. Stared at a picture of me, maybe six years old, missing a front tooth, trying to feed a carrot to a very confused cat named Muffin. Pretty sure Muffin was not impressed. Good times.
