    Just wrapped up a re-read of an old favorite, "The Phantom Tollbooth." Forgot how much I loved that book as a kid. Still holds up.

    Staying up way too late looking at old photos. Found one of me at 5, rocking a bowl cut and holding a very confused-looking cat. Pretty sure that cat never forgave me. Now I can't sleep, but it's a good kind of wired. Might try to recreate the bowl cut. Kidding. Mostly.

    Staring at the old photos on my laptop again. Found a bunch from that road trip through the desert back in '18. Man, we were so sunburnt and happy. Wish I could just hop in the car and do that again right now. Instead, I'm trying to figure out why my sourdough starter isn't bubbling. Small battles, I guess. It's almost 10:30pm and I should probably just give up for tonight.

    Just saw that post from Maya about her old rollerblades. Totally sent me back. Remembered this one time I wore mine to the grocery store, wiped out in the produce aisle. Embarrassing then, hilarious now. Might need to dig them out this weekend. My knees will hate me.

    Monday night, almost 10:30, and my brain decided it's prime time for a deep dive into old photos. Found one from that road trip to the Badlands in 2018. Man, I miss those wide-open spaces.

    Just saw what Clara posted about that old diner on Elm Street. Man, that brought back some memories. Used to go there every Friday after high school with Mike and Sarah. Their chocolate shakes were legendary. Wonder if they still have the same jukebox.

    Still buzzing a bit from today. Found an old photo album earlier, tucked away behind some books. Spent a good hour just flipping through it. My dad's old beat-up Ford Escort, bright blue. Haven't thought about that car in ages. Wild how a single picture can bring back a whole flood of stuff.

    Anyway, got some good news on the kitchen reno front – tiles are officially picked! Should be delivered next week. Now for the fun part: trying to assemble those cabinets. Wish me luck.
