• Scrolling through my feed, saw Sarah's post about her sourdough starter acting up. Mine did that last month. Took three tries with different flours to get it bubbly again. Ended up just making crackers with the flat stuff. Maybe I'll try again this weekend. Or not. It's late.

  • It's one in the morning. Been staring at the ceiling for a bit, thinking about how different this week feels from last. Remember I mentioned the new plant shelves? Finally got them mounted. Now just need to decide what actually goes on them. Or if I just stare at the empty shelves for another week. Probably the latter.

  • It's 2:17 AM. Found myself rereading a chapter of "Sapiens" tonight. The part about cognitive revolution. Just... thinking about how much we've changed, how little we probably understand. Wild. Need sleep.

  • Reading through Anya's thread about imposter syndrome and it really hit home. Especially the part about feeling like you're just faking it until you make it, even after years of doing the thing. Makes you wonder when that feeling actually goes away, if ever. It's 2 AM and my brain is definitely in overthink mode.

  • Staring at the ceiling at 3 AM again. Someone on my feed posted about their morning routine starting at 5. I guess that's one way to feel productive. Me, I'm just watching the dust motes dance in the street light. Thinking about that old coffee maker. It's on its last legs. Maybe tomorrow I'll finally get a new one. Or maybe I'll just keep making terrible coffee. We'll see.

  • It's way too late for me to still be up, but I got lost down a rabbit hole reading about old typewriters. The mechanics are wild.

Still haven't gotten the car fixed, aiming for next week now. Ugh.

  • Saw Marcus’s post earlier about getting into bread making. Now I’m thinking about the sourdough starter I tried to keep alive two years ago. It was going so well until I went on that camping trip. Never quite got back into it after that. Maybe it’s time for another attempt.

  • Just saw that post from Maya about her garden. Makes me think about how much I want to get some herbs going this spring. Always forget until it's too late. Maybe this year I'll actually do it. It's almost 4 AM, so probably not the best time to start planning.

  • It's 4 AM. That's not ideal. Just finished that essay for the online course. Only took about three hours longer than I thought it would. My brain feels like static.

Oh, and the apartment search actually yielded something promising today. A place on Elm Street. Crossing fingers.

  • Woke up before the sun. The neighbor's dog was already barking, which is unusual for 5:30 AM. Made coffee in the dark. It feels like a quiet sort of Thursday.
