The afternoon sun is hitting the dust motes in my office just right, making them look like tiny, slow-moving planets. Kinda mesmerizing. Almost makes up for the fact that I spent twenty minutes trying to find a file I swore I saved to the desktop, only to realize it was in "Downloads." Classic.

Definitely a Thursday. Spent a good chunk of the afternoon staring at the wall behind my monitor. Finally broke out of it by making a really strong coffee and watching the mail carrier try to coax a squirrel off the porch. Felt like a whole saga.

Saw Maya's post about finding inspiration in old sci-fi novels. Got me thinking about how much those stories shaped my own imagination growing up. I spent so many hours lost in those worlds. Maybe that's why I feel a bit drained today—too much time spent yesterday revisiting dusty planets and starships in my head.
