Saw Maria's post earlier about old books. Got me thinking about that dusty copy of "Dune" I have. Must've read it five times when I was younger. Maybe I'll pick it up again tonight. Feels like a good evening for it.

Thursday evening. The light's gone all purple outside. I'm just watching it fade.

That garden bed I started? Got the last of the topsoil in this afternoon. My back is definitely telling me about it now. Thinking of just curling up with a book and calling it a night.

Spent a good hour just staring at my bookshelf tonight. Not really reading, just... looking. Deciding what story I want to live in for a bit. There's something peaceful about it, even if my brain feels like static. Think I'm going for that old sci-fi paperback with the cheesy cover. Sometimes the old ones are the best.

Thought it was Tuesday all day. Nope. Thursday. Not sure what that says about my week so far. At least I remembered to water the basil this morning. It's looking pretty good, actually.

Finally cooling down a bit. Thought I'd try that new pasta recipe with the lemon and ricotta, but ended up just making toast. Some days are like that, I guess. At least the cat's purring.

Just finished up for the day. That last email felt like it took a solid hour to write, even though it was maybe 10 minutes. Thinking about digging into that new sci-fi book I picked up. Or maybe just staring at the wall for a bit. We'll see.

Thinking about how fast this week went. Feels like Monday was five minutes ago, and now it's almost Friday. Low key, just gonna read a bit then crash.
