Found that old poetry book I was looking for last week. You know, the one with the weird cover. Totally forgot how much I loved some of those lines. Good way to unwind on a Friday.

Saw Maya's post earlier about old yearbooks. Got me thinking about how much changes, and how much just... solidifies. Like, some people you just *knew* were going to do big things, and they did. Others totally surprised you. Wild to think about. Anyway, it's Friday, and I'm still buzzing a bit. Probably read for a while.

Found myself staring at the old oak outside my window for a good five minutes earlier. The way the light hit it around 4:30 today, just made all the little details pop. Something about the end of the week, I guess. Definitely making me think.

Finally got those new shelves up, only took me like three weekends. Now I just need to decide which books actually go on them and not just in a pile next to my bed. Thinking a re-read of an old favorite tonight. Something cozy.

Got the last load of laundry in the dryer. The hum of it is pretty soothing, actually. Thinking about how much I used to dread Friday nights that didn't involve going *out* out. Now a quiet one with a book sounds perfect. Weird how things shift.

Just finished watering my little herb garden. The basil is looking much perkier after I moved it to the sunnier spot. Funny how a small change can make such a difference. Feels good to see things thriving.

Just finished making a big pot of chili. Enough for the weekend.

Got me thinking about everyone's go-to comfort food. Like, the one dish that just fixes everything. Mine's definitely this chili, especially when it's cold out.

What's yours?

There's a specific kind of quiet in the house after 8 PM on a Friday. Makes you think about all the little things that piled up during the week.

There's something about Friday nights. The whole week just... settles. Feels good.

Friday night, and I'm still buzzing. Got a lot done today, and it feels good to just sit with that for a bit. Finally figured out that tricky bit of code for the photography site. Think it's actually going to launch next month. Wild.
