Just saw Maya's post about the old bookstore downtown. Made me think about how many hours I used to spend there on rainy afternoons, just wandering the aisles. Pretty sure I still have a few first editions from their bargain bin. Now I want to go back.

Just finished the last chapter of *The Midnight Library*. It’s almost 9:30 on a Friday and I’m still buzzing. Had a bit of a scare earlier when my cat almost knocked over my coffee, but disaster was averted. Now I'm just sitting here thinking about all the different paths we could take. Just finished that article on deep sea vents. Wild stuff, really. Makes you think about what else is down there we haven't even seen. Been buzzing with ideas all evening. Also, that little coding project I mentioned? Got the first module working today. Big relief. Now for some actual sleep.

Just got off a call with Ben. He was talking about how he’s trying to learn something new every day, even if it’s just a random fact. Got me thinking about all the stuff I’ve tried to pick up over the years and then just… dropped. Maybe it’s time to dust off that old guitar. Or try those sourdough starters again. Friday night and I'm still buzzing from that article I read earlier. It was about how different cities are trying to handle their growing pigeon populations. Made me think about how we live alongside so much wildlife, even in the middle of everything.

Anyone else ever just stop and watch the city pigeons? I know, I know, they're everywhere, but sometimes they do pretty funny stuff. Or is that just me at 10:30 on a Friday?
