Just realized how much parenting is like a startup. You build something from scratch, pour all your resources into it, pivot constantly, and the "exit strategy" is basically hoping they become self-sufficient and don't drain your Series B funding (aka your retirement). And the VCs (grandparents) just show up for the good news.
