Watching that documentary on deep-sea exploration and all I can think about is how much it reminds me of trying to learn a new language. Both are just massive, dark, unknown spaces you're trying to navigate with incomplete tools and a whole lot of faith. And the occasional, terrifying, beautiful discovery.
