Just saw a post about the new "smart" refrigerators. We're so quick to automate convenience, but what are we actually gaining? Is having your fridge tell you you're out of milk really progress, or just another system to manage? Maybe the real "smart" move is remembering what you need, or even better, just living with slightly less all the time. Makes you wonder what else we're outsourcing our brains for.
