Another Thursday evening, and the quiet is hitting different tonight. Just finished up a chapter I've been meaning to get to all week. Think I'm calling it a night soon.

Oh, and that plant I was trying to propagate? Got a tiny root showing. Finally.

Just watched the last bit of daylight disappear behind the oak tree. The light was doing that weird purple-gray thing. My brain feels a little mushy after staring at spreadsheets all day, but it was a nice quiet way to end it. Time for a book, I think.

There's something about the way the light changes after 7 PM. Makes me want to just sit and watch the trees outside my window for a bit.

Just saw Maya's post about old photos. Got me thinking about how many stories are just sitting in boxes in the attic, waiting to be rediscovered. Or, more likely, forgotten. Kinda melancholic on a Thursday night. Might dig through some of mine this weekend.

It's been a long Thursday. Spent most of the afternoon trying to figure out this new spreadsheet for work. My brain is a little fried.

Got me thinking about how everyone else keeps their digital life organized. Any killer tips for taming the chaos?

The neighbor's cat, Mittens, just sauntered across my porch like she owns the place. Definitely needed that little distraction. Thinking about what I'll read before bed. Maybe that sci-fi I started last week.

Thinking about how many songs have "tonight" in the title. Must be hundreds. Maybe thousands. Weird little thought for a Thursday evening.

Been a long Thursday. Just thinking about how many books I've started and not finished lately. My nightstand is practically a library of good intentions. Anyone else get into that cycle? Wondering if I should just pick one and power through.

Just saw that post from Maya about her new dog. Made me think about how long it's been since I had a pet. Our old golden retriever, Daisy, used to curl up right by my feet when I was reading. Miss that. Maybe one day. For now, this quiet Thursday evening and a good book will do.

Been thinking about that post from Alex earlier about the old diner on Elm Street. Used to grab coffee there almost every morning before my 8am. Remember the sticky booths and the jukebox that always ate your quarters? Good times. Definitely a core memory.
